Techsalerator was founded in August 2020 by Max Wahba, launching just as the COVID 19 pandemic accelerated demand for digital data infrastructure. The premise was straightforward: the data serious companies need to build products already exists, but sourcing it means dealing with fragmented vendors, inconsistent quality, and country by country compliance headaches. Techsalerator positioned itself as the single partner that removes that friction, rather than another aggregator layering on top of other vendors.

Within five years the company grew to around 60 to 70 team members serving more than 10,000 companies globally, with a flagship B2B database covering over 320 million businesses across 219 countries and more than 200 data fields per business, alongside a B2C consumer database spanning over 2 billion records. Clients have included J.P. Morgan, FedEx, Allstate, and The Carlyle Group, using the data for marketing, identity verification, fraud prevention, and AI model training. In November 2025, Techsalerator was acquired by Datasharp, a Belgium based data intelligence platform, combining Techsalerator's US distribution and marketplace reach with Datasharp's European data engineering and enrichment capabilities, with Wahba remaining in a leadership role to expand US enterprise relationships.
