This Canada-wide urban monitoring dataset provides a 10 meter by 10 meter grid of cells with per-cell distances to and counts of nearby points of interest derived from OpenStreetMap. Each record links cells to national and subnational administrative areas and includes cell geometry and bounding coordinates. POI groups cover transit, education, healthcare, retail, and food services. Data are produced monthly with historical coverage beginning in 2018, enabling both snapshot and trend analysis. Spatial capabilities include mapping and geographic visualization, proximity and coverage analysis, site selection, and regional equity assessment to support urban planning, location intelligence, and service access studies.
